Rod founded Milroy Construction in 1986 and initially began with a focus on building cleanroom environments and completing seismic upgrades. More than two decades later Rod is still at it. Although he is likely to be on a jobsite, Rod is most at peace when he’s found with his wife in the Sierra Nevadas.
Jose’s career in construction began in 1992 but he began learning the trade at an early age from his grandfather and uncle. Jose is a skilled carpenter with experience in many facets of the trade but now specializes in cleanroom construction as a Project Manager. He is now one of Milroy’s longest tenured employee’s. Jose enjoys family time, imitating PGA tour pros on the Golf Course and a good family barbeque.
John came to Milroy Construction in 2005 as a journeyman carpenter and now manages many of Milroy’s largest projects. John specializes in field management of commercial and industrial re-roofing, seismic upgrades, and general tenant improvement projects. John also runs a tight ship and is Milroy’s go-to guy for safety questions.
Mike joined the Milroy team in 2014 as a journeyman. He has since stepped up as a project lead and manages field work throughout the Bay Area. Competitive mountain bike riding and quality time with the family is how Mike enjoys his time when he is not taking care of business at Milroy Construction.
Brittany got her start with Milroy in 2013 providing assistance to the Milroy Construction Carpenters and making jobsite deliveries. She soon decided to join the union as an apprentice where she has quickly shown she has what it takes to be a carpenter. Brittany is a go getter and has quickly become a key player of our team. In her free time Brittany enjoys the outdoors with perhaps a good basketball game, rooting for our Golden State Warriors or some fun family camping trips.
Jake began working with Milroy Construction in 2012 and is another one of the newer teammates that is making his presence felt. Jacob works alongside our team at Applied Materials where he is working his way through the ranks of the apprenticeship program and will soon be a Journeyman Carpenter.
After working in Corporate Banking for 10 years Lesley decided to try something new. In 2005 she started working in the Construction Field, and in 2012 made her way to Milroy Construction. Her role with Milroy Construction is that of the Office Manager, providing field, client, and office support on all projects. In her free time, Lesley is like most of us and enjoys family time, baking, and (unfortunately) rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
Joe got his start in Corporate Accounting in Southern California before joining the Milroy team in 2013. He has since grown into the role of Controller where he oversees the day to day accounting and financial responsibilities with the company. Joe’s spare time is filled with exercise, sports, family and friends, and he is considered pretty fun for an accountant.
Cathy joined the Milroy team in 2004. Current responsibilities include tracking and recording timely receipt of signed job subcontracts including checking all job-specific insurance submitted for required coverage and endorsements. Cathy enjoys a good book, loves travel adventures and has a soft spot for wolfdogs.
Byron’s career in construction began in 1984. After serving his four year apprenticeship Byron began working his way to the role he now fills as Superintendent. Serving in the construction industry now for over 34 years, Byron is one of Milroy most experienced carpenters and field managers and is often tasked with our most technical and challenging projects.
